Welcome to Virtual ValuJet Airlines, Americas favorite low cost virtual carrier. Whether you have stumbled upon us by accident or have arrived just where you intended, I would like to be the first to say “welcome aboard”.
Thank you for choosing ValuJet as your Virtual Airline. Before you can proceed to the actual Application and Entrance Exam, you must read the following prospectus so that you aware of the procedures and policies enforced by the airline.
GENERAL...
Virtual ValuJet is an airline that does not require you to have a whole lot of real world aeronautical knowledge, although being familiar with aircraft operations and the flying environment may be helpful. We have many real world pilots that fly for us, and they are usually willing to lend a helping hand.
AGE...
Virtual ValuJet requires that members be at least 15 years old. Members between the ages of 15 and 18 may be asked to provide parental permission to participate.
REQUIREMENTS...
Virtual ValuJet only requires two (2) flights per month to remain on the active roster. We have a variety of flights that range from thirty (30) minutes to three (3) hours. This means you are only required to donate one (1) hour a month minimum to stay active. However more is better. We require you to fly online with VATSIM, and this rule is strictly enforced. This would also require you to have a valid VATSIM ID.
RANKING...
All accepted applicants will begin work on line as a NEW HIRE. Promotion to the rank(s) of FIRST OFFICER and CAPTAIN is granted only when the pilot accumulates the required amount of flight hours for each position within VVA.

FLIGHT REPORTING & TRACKING...
Once you have completed your flight online, you must file a Pilot's Report (PIREP). These reports are mandatory to receive hourly credit with the airline. They also allow the company and yourself the opportunity to track your progress. All reports are verified through the VATSIM network for accuracy. They must be completed truthfully and to the best of your knowledge. Any report found to be falsified or lacking appropriate information will be denied. A written appeal may be submitted if you feel that the PIREP denial was made in error.
USER CONDUCT...
We expect all of our members to respect everyone, their views, opinions, and comments whether it be through VVA or the Flight Simulation Community in general. A complete list of user conduct is outlined and can be viewed in the VVA Crew Member Handbook.
FEEDBACK...
Virtual ValuJet Airlines has an open door policy, where you are free to voice your opinion at any time. We encourage our members to offer us feedback regarding the site, management, policies, material offered, or general comments. Please be aware that due to the high capacity of user feedback, response time may vary.
Once your pilot application has been received, you will be assigned a Pilot ID number (PID), along with the hub you chose at time of sign-up. Once you have been assigned a hub, you must stay with that hub for a minimum of 6 months before you can transfer to a different hub, so be sure to choose a hub you wish to stay at. We do this to keep the paper trail down to a minimum, and to ensure the quality of pilots that fly for us. Next you will pick a flight you wish to fly so you can start getting hours accumulated.
HAVE SOME HIGH FLYING FUN...
Although some of the rules and requirements may seem a bit overwhelming, the ultimate goal of VVA is education and fun. So, apply today and prepare for an exciting and rewarding virtual airline experience!
